Glenleigh houses' distinctive appearance stems from the unusual bricks it is built with. They were shipped across from England as the ballast in James Ewan's merchant ships. The most impressive detail in Glenleigh is the ornate work on the ceilings. Two Italian artists were brought to Autralia by James Ewan to create these masterpieces. Each room displays a medallion which is uniquely suited to its use - musicians and opera singers in the Music Room, writers in the Library, and fish, hare and birds in the Dining Room.
Graeme and Kevin provided the venue and Donald served up a fine lunch.
But another Jack stole the show - as always.
A friendly round of canasta?
No it looks more like a serious game is under way.
Whats sort of cards is Graeme holding ... hard to read the smile on the dial.
Kevin reads out the score whilst the vanquished drown their sorrow ~ we all got thrashed by Jack.
Finally we meet daffy Duck!!
Admiring the craftmenship of Kev and Graeme with the new look staircase.
.... and crystal reflections .... the dining room chandeleir
